Martin Odegaard’s future stays unclear as he shines on loan at the London giants from Real Madrid, but says a come back to the Santiago Bernabeu stays ‘a big dream’ for him. Norway international joined Arsenal on loan in winter and, after being introduced into the first team quite cautiously by Spaniard, has found his feet impressively in the PL.
Odegaard has been one of the Gunners standout performers in recent weeks and supporters are keen to keep hold of him beyond the end of the campaign when his loan deal expires.
Martin is loving his time in Arsenal and could be open to remain beyond this campaign, but he stays under a deal at La Liga giants until 2023 and Los Blancos may be keen to have him back after impressing in the PL.
The 22-year-old playmaker does not know where he will be playing next campaign yet but does say that a come back to Spain, and going on to be a success there, is his dream.
‘Yes, as I have said many times when you sign there, the goal is always to play there. It is of course a big dream,’ the Norwegian attacker said. ‘But at the same time, I am in a nice club and am very happy where I am now. So I am very happy with the situation as it is now.’
Asked what his gut feeling on his future is, he said: ‘It does not say much. I thrive where I am and enjoy myself a lot, then we will see what happens in the summer.’
