ARSENAL NEWS: Brentford Game Was Nearly Postponed Due To Illness Of Arsenal Players

Arsenal’s opener against Brentford was “very close” to being postponed. In a shocking revelation, just a few days after Arsenal lost to newly promoted Brentford, it has been stated that the match was close to being postponed due to a Covid scare. The visitor camp at Brentford Community Stadium realized that they had few members who were showing symptoms of illness. This forced everybody involved to get tested before their Premier League clash against the Bees, to ensure whether the match can go ahead as planned or not. Luckily (not for Arsenal fans) it did go ahead and Brentford outplayed Mikel Arteta’s men in an astounding fashion. The recent report of coronavirus scare is a warning sign to the Premier League that the pandemic still has not disappeared into thin air.   The British government has removed every restriction there was in place before and that might lead to a rise in coronavirus cases, naturally. The Premier League teams, however, are still ordered to follow the social...

ARSENAL NEWS: Arsenal Consider Swoop Deal For Bayern Midfielder Corentin Tolisso

Arsenal are weighing up an offer to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso, according to a report in Italy. Italian website Calciomercato, as quoted by TuttoJuve, is reporting that the Gunners could turn their attention to the France international as Mikel Arteta looks to sign a new central midfielder in the 2021 summer transfer window. The same article states that the Gunners are looking to bolster their options in the middle of the park after Arsenal suffered a 2-0 loss to Brentford in their Premier League opener. According to the same story, Arsenal are hoping to convince Bayern Munich to accept a straight swap deal involving Hector Bellerin and Tolisso before the close of the transfer market. The report goes on to suggest that the Bundesliga champions would be open to the proposed swap deal given Tolisso has struggled to leave his mark on the German side. Calciomercato claim that the proposed swap deal could prove successful given that Bayern really like Bellerin. Tolisso s...

ARSENAL NEWS: Real Madrid Name Price For Odegaard As Arsenal Return For Bordeaux Attacker

Odegaard price named Martin Odegaard is a player Arsenal clearly appreciate. Having spent the second half of last season on loan at the club, Odegaard endured a mixed time in north London, but at 22 years old could certainly be one for the future. The major stumbling block, of course, is that he is a Real Madrid player, for now at least. In the latest news, however, he may soon be looking to leave the Spanish capital, with Lucas Navarrete reporting that he is “seriously considering a move away” over fears of playing time.     It would take Arsenal around €40 or €50 million to secure Odegaard’s signing. The player hasn’t made a final decision about his future but is seriously considering a move away from Madrid.     He is not optimistic about his playing time and wants to start.     — Lucas Navarrete (@LucasNavarreteM) August 10, 2021 In the case that he decides to leave, Arsenal will certainly be in the mix for his signature, with a supposed ...

ARSENAL NEWS: PSG Hatches Plan To Sign Arsenal Target Before The Transfer Window Closes

Arsenal has made Eduardo Camavinga one of their transfer targets in this window as they look to bolster their squad. The 18-year-old Frenchman is one of the more exciting young prospects in European football and he will be out of a contract at the end of this season. He has refused to sign a new deal at his current club Rennes and they would be wise to cash in on him now. Arsenal has been adding new players to their squad in this transfer window and they could move for him before it closes. However, they are not the only club chasing a move for him with the likes of Real Madrid and PSG, also looking to add him to their squad in this transfer window. Le10Sport says the Parisians remain keen to make him their player before the transfer window closes. They also know that Rennes is playing hardball over his signature at the moment. They plan to make an offer for him just before the transfer window closes so that Rennes will have no choice but to accept it. While PSG plays the waiting game,...

ARSENAL NEWS: Fenerbahce Keen To Take Two Arsenal Outcasts From Emirate

Arsenal are desperately trying to cut back our bloated squad numbers, and it looks like we may have an opportunity to offload two of our peripheral players in one go, if the new Fenerbahce coach Vitor Pereira gets his way. The Turkish outlet Fanatik have revealed that Fenerbahce are looking for two attacking wing backs. Vitor Pereira has reported on the transfer of fullbacks to both wings. Waiting for Sead Kolasinac for the left side, Fenerbahçe rolled up its sleeves to strengthen the right wing with another Arsenal player, Cedric Soares. It was noted that Pereira wanted his compatriot Cedric very much I am sure that Mikel Arteta would jump at the chance to offload Kolasinac as he was happy to let him go last January, and although the Bosnian still has a year left on his contract on high wages it may mean that we may have to even pay Kolasinac off to get him to leave. Cedric Soares though has proved to be an able back up at times when we have been hit by injury, although he only appear...

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta very instrumental in convincing the Swiss midfielder to stay after the club rejected bids from Roma; Xhaka is seen as a key part of Arteta's plans moving forward and impressed at Euro 2020. Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is close to agreeing a new contract with the club. The 28-year-old's current deal is up in 2023 with the player strongly linked with a move to Jose Mourinho's Roma side this summer. And despite Roma making offers to sign the Swiss midfielder, Arsenal's valuation was never met by the Serie A side. While it may appear to be a U-turn by Arsenal, it is thought boss Mikel Arteta never wanted to let Xhaka go having initially convinced him to stay in January 2020. Arteta views the player, who started 29 Premier League games last season, as a key part of his plans moving forward. Following Sunday's pre-season friendly defeat to Chelsea in which Xhaka scored Arsenal's goal, Arteta said: "Xhaka is staying. He wanted to p...
