La Liga Giants Keep A Close Eye On €35m-Rated Arsenal Centre-Forward

Lyon sporting director Juninho rules out Alexandre Lacazette return as speculation mounts over Arsenal striker's future

Alexandre Lacazette appears ready to depart the London giants in the summer transfer window.

France international has been offered to Barcelona among other top European teams by his agent, with an exit on the cards. Alexandre joined the Gunners from Lyon in the summer of 2017 and has since blown hot and cold at Arsenal.

While he impressed in his maiden season, Lacazette has been too inconsistent for his own liking, although he is the top scorer for Arsenal this campaign. So far in the Gunners colours, the 29year-old centre-forward has 59 goals and 28 assists in 158 matches to show for his efforts.

However, the Gunners are in a precarious position over his future, with his contract having just a little over a year remaining on it. The latest reports suggest that the French centre-forward is looking to leave Gunners this summer in search of a new adventure. And, he has now been offered to Blaugrana.

Barca have been rumoured to be in the market for a centre-forward ahead of the summer transfer window, having chosen not to sign a replacement for Luis Suarez last year. In addition, Messi and Griezmann are facing an uncertain future at Barcelona, meaning it might just become a necessity for the Blaugrana to bolster their attack this summer.

To that end, a move for Man City striker Gabriel Jesus has been mooted, with Alexandre Lacazette now emerging as a viable target. Having said that, it is unclear whether the Blaugrana have responded positively to being offered the opportunity to swoop him away from the Emirates Stadium.
